Hey Acting Manitou friends! My name is Holly, and I am a bunk counselor in Wasserstein this year! Thursday morning was a beautiful start to a sunlit Maine day here at camp. Campers are settling right in to the Acting Manitou routine. They dove deeper into their elective classes with hunger and enthusiasm, on top of which they enjoyed a master class with one of our directors or teaching artists.

After a busy morning and lunch, our annual Ping Pong Tournament began, where both campers and staff battled out ping pong matches outdoors on the lawn. Then, campers continued rehearsals for their productions, working on music, blocking, choreography, and so much more. Whether learning Shakespeare or Bob Fosse inspired dance moves, magic was surely present in every room, in every camper. According to the campers, all four shows love their directors, and getting to know everyone in their casts, both old friends and new.

After time at the pool and a great dinner, it was movie night at camp! Everyone got to relax from a busy day with a choice of "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" or "The Lego Movie."

We look forward to more sunny days of enthusiasm, challenging theatre, and friendship.

Wishing you all the same,

Holly, Bunk Counselor in Wasserstein
