IMG_5884Hi All! Our second lazy Sunday of the session was just as incredible as expected. Every camper enjoyed their personalized omelets, cooked to order by the senior staff, while surrounded by some upbeat music and crazy dancing through the pavilion.

The morning was left open for campers to head up to production call, helping to paint sets and sew costumes, or to spend time working on lines, music, and dances. Beautiful voices floated from the open studio windows as some campers organized their own “pop-up” rehearsals to brush up on songs and choreography. Other campers stationed themselves throughout campus and helped each other run lines in small groups.

Following yet another delicious lunch and relaxing downtime, everyone made their way to rehearsal. The pool then provided a cool relief after the warm day full of energy, and at dinner, the evening activity was announced – Classic Hollywood Prom! The Acting Manitou community has always worked to make our prom a positive experience void of the stress and drama that is often associated with “real world” prom. This dance followed that tradition, full of joyful dancing, energetic belting, and caring support of one another.

We hit the hay after this slightly-less-lazy Sunday in order to rest up for the busy week ahead. Monday marks the first day of double rehearsal – tech week, here we come!
