Congratulations to Acting Manitou camper Colby for his performance in his high school's production of Fame! Anyone who came to see last year's second session shows will remember Colby's stunning performance in Macbeth. Last weekend, Colby tackled a very different type of role in the stage adaptation of the popular movie: Fame. The play, adapted by Christopher Sergel, tells the story of several high school students vying for a spot at the top school for the the performing arts in NYC. Colby played Montgomery, a very lonely and very talented student. When asked what he liked best about the role, Colby said: I like the ability to stretch my range and play a character so different from me. To me, that's what acting is about. Montgomery is a shy inner person and I think that makes him a fascinating character.
