Miss you all SO SO much.  Hope everyone is having a happy and healthy spring!  Not a day goes by that I don't think about camp and my Acting Manitou family-- legit I think about camp EVERY DAY-- and I cannot wait for another beautiful summer in Maine.  I'm particularly excited for this upcoming summer, as the inimitable Fouad and I will be premiering a BRAND SPANKIN' NEW musical.  We're hard at work on PROMNADO-- and SO SO SO excited to share it with you all.  Perhaps we'll tease a little something something soon........ One of my favorite things about the springtime is all of the theatre that happens in New York City! I know it is an exciting time of year for you all as well, as many of you participate in spring plays, musicals, and theatre festivals.  There are always so many shows opening and never enough time to see them all.  BUT, if you find yourself in New York City and have a free evening, may I recommend one of the following shows:

-INDECENT by Paula Vogel (yes, the namesake for our very own Vogel bunk).  Currently running on Broadway, a BEAUTIFUL new play about the first gay stage kiss.

-SWEAT by Lynn Nottage (yes, another bunk namesake!).  Another new play on Broadway, and this one just won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama!

-HAMLET, a new production by Waterwell theatre company that recontextualizes the play in 1917 Iran.

Oh, I should mention that I'm currently working on two shows that are being produced in repertory at New York Theatre Workshop.  "Sojourners" and "Her Portmanteau" are two plays from the Ufot Family Play cycle by Mfoniso Udofia, which traces the lineage of a Nigerian-American family from the 1970s through today.  They're both PHENOMENAL plays, so if you're around come check them out.

Alright, that's all from me.  Happy May and happy almost summer!!!
