Yesterday was this blogger's favorite day of camp; Trip day!!
Trip day is always the Wednesday in the middle of the session where campers and staff alike get to have a day away from Camp Eastwood to relax, have fun, and often see some kind of performance, and that's just what happened yesterday!
The day began with a casual breakfast before heading down a path in the woods to our sibling camp, Camp Manitou, the boys sports camp that Acting Manitou sprung out of like Athena from the brain of Zeus.
We spent the morning paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming and sunbathing in the beautiful lake at Camp Manitou's waterfront, before having a delicious barbecue cooked by our amazing staff, and finally playing a game of knockout in the gym.
After the wonderful morning at Camp Manitou we all hopped on busses to Boothbay Harbor, some campers taking a hike, others shopping in town. Good times were had by all and we moved on to a dinner theater event where our waiters sang for us and even performed a stellar musical called "Where Have All The Hippies Gone"
After the performance, we hopped back on the bus and trip day came to a close as we returned to camp to face the long and rewarding days of rehearsal ahead.
Until next time!
