Opening Day for Session 2

Hello friends! Chris Murrah here, director of session one's Spring Awakening and session two's Antigone. I'm a 9 year veteran of Acting Manitou and as such have been around for my share of opening days. Seeing old friends return Home, and greeting new ones as they come through our office doors for the first time, is a favorite part of each session for me. Seeing how everyone has grown and how excited we all are to get started with our summer adventures brings a huge smile to my face each and every time.

This session holds some incredible opportunities for campers. We have staff members from Broadway's Book of Mormon, Wicked and Anything Goes. We have skilled yoga and meditation leaders excited to practice mindfulness with our community. We have international directors and tech staff ready to design and teach young technicians!

The docket of plays this session is also incredible! Ensembles based Peter and the Starcatcher, our first Greek drama Antigone, two incredible musicals in Once Upon a Mattress and the brand new Promnado, and another world-premiere Sew What?

Check back in each day for photos and a blog post that will let you know what we are up to here in Maine! We can't wait to get started!
